starting to look at tablets to buy...

Hi all,

Bear with me, I am a novice to the technical jargon but here goes. My husband and I were looking to get a second laptop and possibly a small/cheap tablet. We are now thinking of just getting a higher end tablet.

I would like to use it to transfer photos from my computer and organize them to make yearly photo albums from the past ten years using snapfish or whatever. I would also like to transfer photos from camera to tablet for viewing and basic editing/deleting before sending to folders in laptop.  I have done VERY little photo editing, my husband bought me photoshop, but I did not have the patience for it. I do very little editing of my photos, but would like to try a different program, but doubt I would get heavily involved.

Secondly I would like to read books.

Third surf web and organize kids schedules. No gaming.

Would the stylus on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 be much better for photo editing? or is it a gimmick?  If it is useful which other tablets have one? I saw Toshiba Excite Write does but the stylus does not attach to the tablet, other than that the tablet sounds excellent.

Any suggestions or tips/ideas when tablet shopping, my main concern is storage space,  photo transfer, viewing, possibly editing (would/should do more), photo project. Not concerned with the camera on the tablet, I have an Olympus EPL 5, can I load the Olympus Viewer software on tablet?

Thanks in advance!
