The desire to get a D40 is a bit whimsical. First dSLR was a D60. Tossed up at the time D40 or D60. Like the D60 but always wondered how D40 would compare (in my hands so to speak) and its reputed better higher ISO (though I expects as others said, outstripped by the laer models).

I will probably end up passing on it as the $100 can be put to other uses. Though relative to ebay prices (no refurbs here in Oz ...) it is a good price - sometimes they go for over $200.
