Himalaya hike dilemma

Hi everyone,

I am planning a 25 day solo trek at the end of this month in Everest region, Nepal. The concern I have is that the gear I am about to take might be too heavy for this type of hike e.g.: Nikon d700, 18-35(elder version), 50 1.4g, 70-300VR or 85G plus 4 batteries, a charger and a tripod.

Despite the fact that this was meant to be a photographic trip, I am not sure if I can make it with all the heavy gear on my back.

I thought I may either get a lighter body such as D3200 (higher resolution and video) or skip the N system and get something like a Panasonic G6 with 14-42 lense (video and time lapse) for the weight sake.

Appreciate any suggestions.
