GX7: impressive(ish) in low light

GX7: impressive(ish) in low light

i'll admit that i may set the bar lower than most...my walkaround camera is an old canon G9 (and we won't even talk about the E-P2 that died prematurely), so anything that performs well over 400 is impressive to me. being able to handhold this shot would have been impossible with the canon.

but while 1600 & 3200 shots look quite clean in general, i've noticed a tendency for severely underexposed areas to show abrupt transitions, as in the image below. the transition between the trees and the buildings in the distance seems more abrupt than is natural.

overall, though, i'm very happy with the camera. very nice image quality, it fits well in my hand, and the UI and i get along much better than i ever did with the E-P2.
