I actually shoot a lot of action too, especially in street photography, with MF cameras. I take your point about sports though. But that's exactly why I think having a hybrid VF in a DSLR is exciting. I just don't think you can equate the rear screen with a good EVF, it's difficult to see in bright sunlight, and it takes time to use. A hybrid VF offers the best of both worlds.

In that case, I'd agree completely. There's nothing to lose with a finder that can switch between EVF/OVF modes.

But for now, a DSLR with an optical finder and rear screen is as close as it gets.
