As for the action/shutter firing delay, I suspect you'll find if you crunch the numbers that it's not actually that significant. The E-M1 is faster than a Canon 5dmkII, and only 0.01 and 0.02 seconds behind a 5D3 and D800 respectively for the camera's delay between seeing the action and firing the shutter (ignoring human response time). That includes the EVF delay.

The action/firing delay is completely irrelevant. It's the inability to give you a real time view of the subject during bursts, and EVF lag/blur in low light situations that is the problem.
