I no longer buy lenses without IS

thinking of getting this for indoor pics of all sorts. Would getting the IS version be worth it? Will be using it with the T4i.

Camera shake is probably the major source of degradation of image sharpness and quality. I no longer buy lenses without IS. It is immensely useful for what I shoot, which includes lot of photographs of people in natural light. Unless you are doing sports, there is always a moment of pause and stillness when the IS comes into its own, even with children. I had the 35 f/2 non IS, which is a fine lens, but sold it when the 35 IS became available.
