Outdoor fill flash question.
1

Using a T2i, 50 1.8 and 420EX flash(on a flash bracket), is there any sort of general setting to use for outdoor fill flash portrait setting?  I was thinking 1/60, f8, 400ISO.  Though I need to practice and have not as yet.  Then, I also plan to use a 70-200 f4 lens, too, probably in the 100mm-135mm range.  What changes in settings might be needed?

I have NO experience doing this (using flash, that is).  So any help will be appreciated.  I/you must keep this as simple as possible for me.

I will not be taking a few head shots, but most will be upper body to nearly full body shots. Many with props (ie musical instruments and athletic accessories).

I'm glued to your every word.  Thanks.
