Re: Only FOOLS buy 3rd Party Batteries for expensive electronics...
You take a risk though as the centre pin on a cheap Chinese battery is likely to be a dummy resistor fooling the camera into thinking there is a thermistor checking for battery over heating, so even if the battery does not ignite as Lithium does at high temperatures, your camera may be cooked. Most third battery chargers omit the centre pin altogether.
You do seem to be trying to rationalise your decision to buy risky batteries. OK buy the batteries if you want but do not try to pretend there is no potential problem.

Marco,
Even Nikon had a recent battery recall, so "quality" manufacture is not a guarantee - I suspect that many aftermarket batteries are also being made by the suppliers to major mahufactureres after all if you are tooled up to make something you want to make as many as possible and the actual Li ion cells are often made by different people to the plastic casing so the picture is far more difficult that it at first appears.
Not to disparage your quotes by I am also reminded of the prohibition on mobiles at petrol/gas stations - when did you last hear of a gas station exploding because of a switched on mobile phone - mine is always on but stays in my pocket - your more likely to get a spark from dropping your keys. Although im sure you could find an example on the internet it is very rare.
It is also well known that manufacturers will "skin" you on spares - ford replacement bumper/fender $500, BMW replacement $3000 is it really better quality ? That I am afraid is what happens on batteries the dollar resale price is not reflective of "extra" quality but the ability to price as they wish.
