GX7 without the EVF?

Why mess up one of the most interesting m43 cameras...

5-axis IBIS or any image stabilization system only minimizes camera shake. IBIS does not freeze subject movement so it's not nearly as useful as obtaining faster shutter speeds via increasing ISO. Since people here shoot a lot more than just static subjects I can't imagine why there is so much importance placed on 5-axis IBIS.

I generally don't buy any cameras without an eye-level VF or at least an accessory port for adding an EVF. The reason is not so much poor visibility of the LCD as it is my dislike of holding a camera with my arms extended in front me.  Shooting this way is one of the least stable ways of shooting so I generally avoid it.

The GX7 will come down in price, but for now I see it as one of the nicest, most interesting m43 cameras currently available.  The tilting LCD is going to be epic for macro shooting. And the GH3 level video capabilities and superb IQ in a smaller rangefinder-style casing are some of the most appealing aspects of the GX7.

So I can't imagine why people would want to change anything about the GX7. And especially the sacrificing of the tilting EVF, one of its most innovative features, for a mere $200 is truly a puzzling proposition.
