In love? Well, it's just a lens.. but... It's good. On thursday I finally had some more time to test my newest purchase, the Fujifilm XF 14mm f/2.8R wide angle lens for my X-Pro1. This was the first time I had a full day to play with this lens. After using a 10-22mm wide angle zoom on my Canon 7D for some years, it was actually liberating to work with only one focal lenght! On thursday I used a f/22 aperture for most of my shots to create a biggest depth of field possible, from 1 meter (3 feet) to infinity, and the files looked real good in Lightroom 5. The shots posted here are downsized however, shot in RAW, processed in LR 5. More can be seen at my blogpost here:

ISO 400, f/22, 1/60 sec.

I think that first shot needs more DR. DR400?

I generally have my camera set to ISO 400 with DR Auto. For a shot like this I would have set the ISO 800 and DR Auto or DR400 to tame the sun - for example..

It's the white-out on the left I was thinking of.

I know. It is actually not that bad and possibly intentionally shot as a high key image.

Yes, you're right I shot several pictures, I was using a tripod, trying different angles and exposures. This is the one I kept.

Some like it, some not. That's the way it is.
