So, do we have the last nail in the coffin now?

I guess, Tom, that I would ask the same question others have: Does Canon have any choice but to be a player in mirrorless, one way or another, at one time or another? They HAVE to make it work. The EOS-M deathwatch is uncertain, but the slow but inexorable DSLR deathwatch is considerably more certain, IMHO. Just look at the (admittedly short-term) waves Sony is creating. DLSR is beginning to feel stale, at least on the forums.

While we languish with all these gloomy visions of mortality floating around, I now feel free to go out and buy an EF 50/1.8! Today!

But Canikon account for over 85% of the interchangeable lens camera market sales in the USA...

If it is a slow deathwatch, it is very slow...
