+1 on that.

I had a D800 and now I've got a D600. I'm getting *much* better pictures out of the D600. I hated the crappy little pixels on the D800. Wish I could afford a D4 with even bigger pixels... Of course, "your mileage may vary."

The only real advantage of the D800 will be the top-of-the-line AF sensor. This would be better for sports, but it sounds like your're not there yet. Personally, for non-sports work I prefer the smaller size, lighter weight and quieter operation of the D600.

I say, stay where you're at!
