NEW 24-70mm f2.8ii Zoom Ring "Ticking" While Zooming

For those who are in Toronto, Canada the 24-70mm 2.8/f II is going for $1,945.00 CAD plus taxes at Aden Camera downtown Toronto. This is the cheapest I can find as buying it from the states or grey market is alot more when you include the tax and duties charge.

No problem. Glad I brought some needed attention for all potential buyers. There's a pretty hot thread I unearthed over at CanonRumors Lens Forums that has now gotten a lot of traffic as well. There was one person who actually got a quiet lens with the March 2013 batch. But it seems the odds are against you. I was an example. My October 2012 lens feels and sounds like the $1699 lens that it is. I'm guessing an out of spec part was introduced into the production line and not caught as it is not something you would note unless you are in a quiet room. The last time I checked, most factories are pretty noisy.
