People get real practical with numbers when there is a dollar sign in front of them. I find they are a bit less practical about f-stop numbers. Compare against current f1.2 optics and tell me if you want a lens like this $1600 bad or even $2200 bad? That's what Canon is charging for their 50mm f1.2 and 85mm f1.2. Of course there are manual focus lenses that could be adapted though. Lots of fast glass if you are good at manual focus.

I can only imagine the price on the Leica 42.5mm f1.2 that was recently announced for micro 4/3rds mount.
