A7/r is just announced, it's not even available in shops until Christmas. And yet already there are 5 new FE lenses. Fuji started with just 2 or 3. Even m43 started with just a few lenses. IMHO Sony has a very good start already. As for legacy lenses - you are mistaken: it's actually opposite - A7 is better for legacy lenses due to 24Mp, instead of 36Mp on A7r. However, both are designed with sensors that are specifically good with wide legacy lenses.

Yes? 'Specifically good'? How so?

Luke: "I put my Zeiss ZM 21mm ƒ/2.8 on the A7r we have here [Luke works at Imaging-Resource —Ed.]. I'm sad to report that color shifts were severe and covered most of the frame. There was also severe darkening of the image away from the center, way too much to simply call vignetting. I chose this lens carefully, based on the experience of other users, to avoid this problem with my early NEX cameras. It worked well, with visible but very minor color shifts and vignetting. It stayed glued on my NEX-3 for years. Well, I just saved myself a couple grand."

It seems that you have no experience of the camera whatsoever.

Why am I not surprised? You began your activity at DPR only 2 days ago.

LOL. No comments. I began my activity in DPR 1 months ago - you can check my profile I suppose.

I tend to not trust some Luke We will see when full review will come out. That's funny basing your opinion on some Luke guy, who wrote something somewhere. Why am I not surprised? Because you can't even check when i started my activity on DPR.

You registered one month ago but started your activity 48 hours ago, in coincidence with the presentation of the new Alpha cameras, just as a paid shill would do.

Luke belong to IMAGING RESOURCE, as stated, so he knows very well what he is doing with a camera.

First of all, no need to double post. One wrong message from you is enough for people to read.

Second of all, here's my post 1 week ago for starters: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52302660

Now I'm not going to teach you how to properly check when a person started his activity, but it just implies that you can't even do a simple job, let alone talk about photo gear.

Luke should know that A7 has 24Mp and is therefore much better suited for UW lenses. However, even A7r is yet remains to be tested fully. I'm not going to continue arguing with you, since this is off-topic already, but if NEX-5N had no problems with UW due to 16Mp on APS-C, then A7 with 24Mp on FF will not have any problems (except extreme UW). That is much better than any other camera, including Leica.
