Not interesting at $1300 though

It is easy to overlook the FZ200's many flaws because it is $500. At $1300, this Sony is more expensive than many entry level DSLRs with a much longer zoom. For example, a Nikon D5200 + Tamron 18-270mm weighs just 120g more can be bought for $400 less, compared to this RX10, and can use primes or other lenses as required for the occasion. Sure the F/2.8 is nice, but its benefits must be considered with the sensor size. For example, diffraction affects IQ as soon as you try to step down from F/2.8 with such a small sensor. The Carl Zeiss name sounds good but being a fixed lens means that in 2 years time, it is not such a smart "investment" as the lens is stuck with a tired old camera then as newer and even better replacement cameras with better sensors, touchscreens, EVFs etc appear. The price is simply way too unrealistic.
