Canon ST-E2 vs Phottix Strato II (...and what is E-TTL?)
I have been looking at wireless flash triggers lately and I haven't been able to find much comparing the Canon ST-E2 and the Phottix Strato II.
I currently have a Canon 580exII and a Canon 50D which does not have the wireless trigger built in. I have found a few Canon ST-E2's between $100 and $150 on Craiglist and Ebay, but can find the pair of receiver and transmitter for the Strato for just under $100 new.
Does anyone have any experience with one or the other they are willing to share?
I realize that the Phottix does not due E-TTL, but I honestly don't know if I TRULY understand what E-TTL is or why it is important feature to have. If someone is willing to dumb it down for me, it would be much appreciated.
