Mel, your reply to hyenadog is not fair. You are actualy using your camera and lenses, he is only complaining about the things he misses...

To the OP:

buy the camera you like. The Nex name is dead the E-mount cameras, both in DSLR style as in rangefinderstyle are very much alive, only named different. In the future you will have a choice between different styled cameras, with APS and FF lenses, what more can you ask? Oh you could ask one more thing: that you xan use your APS lenses on the FF camera and vv, to make you happy: you can, without any adapter!

I don't understand. Doesn't everyone here "actually use" their cameras and lenses? Am I a freak for doing that?

This guy hyenadog makes it sound like legacy lenses without AF are impossible to use (easier with focus peaking than anything except maybe the Leica rangefinder!) that lenses without stabilization can't be used. That you all have fungus or are dysfunctional.

"he is only complaining about the things he misses..."

"Misses"? Misses from what?

What does what he "misses" have to do with the question the OP asked? Nothing. Hyenadog just did what so many others do here - bitch and moan, blaming Sony - and in this case, legacy lenses - for not helping him to avoid developing ordinary skills.

One would have thought that having just introduced what will surely be the cameras of the year that the perpetual complainers here would FINALLY have been silenced. But no - already, we have "the good, the bad, the ugly" posts - less than 24 hours after the images and specs were published!!!!

Frankly, I think this would be a vastly better forum if those who are so dissatisfied with Sony just sold their gear and moved, rather than hanging around and dumping their limited-competence frustrations on newbies who come here seeking advice.
