It would be good to see some comparative shots from the 16-50 vs. 18-55. I've thought about this lens myself (and the Tamron 123Mike uses) but although I'd still like to squeeze a little more out of the A57, what I have is probably good enough.

The 35 is IQ wise the best lens you have. The 16-50 and Tamron 17-50 will not be quite as good but will probably be better than the 18-55.

Miss use of the ability to do 100% pixel peeping is the bane of digital photography because it causes people to fret over inconsequential issues.
