Apple Aperture automatically corrects lens distortion

I am not sure if most are aware of this feature, this i the first time i have documented it, and i have used Aperture for years (since its initial release!) I have read that it corrects for micro cameras but i didn’t know that it worked on DSLRs with different manufacturer lenses.

This happens without any intervention or giving it any info.

This is an example of a Sigma 10-22 on a Canon 5DIII at 10mm

It is easier to see in if you download them and switch back and forth to see the effect.

I am not aware if this can be switched off.
