I think this is one category which won't be replaced by smart phones in the near future!

I met many people along the trek and always offered to take their pictures with their cameras. The Canadians and Europeans handed me cameras. The Americans all handed me smartphones. I hoped the Americans liked the pictures because I have no idea now well they came out. Could not for the life of me see the image on the screen in the bright sun, so I just pointed the phones in their general direction and shot. I use my phone as a phone, not a camera, and after the experience that day I think I'll be keeping it that way for a while.
