I don't know what's going on with your SX40 example however, because that camera has a native resolution of 4000x3000 pixels as well. Some sort of resizing must have taken place.

Thanks. However, I am used to images of 4000x3000 having larger inch dimensions than my P7800 produces. In CS5 they seem to be the same visual size on screen or close.
