Re: Sigma 18-35 f1.8 is a unicorn

Nothing really lacking with the D3200 IQ at this point in time, so I'm in agreement the strategy of adding lenses.

My four additions so far are the Nikon 35mm f/1.8G, Nikon 85mm f1.8G, the Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 DXII, and the Nikon 70-200mm f/4G. There are a number of 70-200 f2.8 lenses to choose from, but the sharpness and focus speed combined with the light weight for both D3200 and V1 sold me on the Nikon, though I had to shell out for a RRS bracket.

The 80-400 f/4.5-5.6G seems like a fine lens, but the price is a bit steep. Likewise, the new Nikon 18-140 likewise would be a good walkaround lens but it is a couple of hundred dollars high for the market.

I am looking forward to an updated Nikon 300mm f/4 lens, which would as well be a pretty decent lens choice for the D7100 with the 1.3x crop.

Best of luck on your quest.
