i think this is an excellent example of the technique of using repeating, receding shapes in the frame. often the biggest challenge is to get them to line up so that they neither cover up figures in the back, nor align so perfectly that the picture becomes boring or overly mechanical. the staggered line here is perfectly arranged.

i think you might want to pull back on whatever is adding the local contrast (probably a 'definition' or 'structure' control, or old fashioned usm). i think it is tending to emphasize the plane surface, where the interest here is more in the illusion of depth.
