Epson R3000 255gsm paper weight limit?
I am considering to buy the Epson R3000. According to specs, its maximum paper weight limit is 255 gsm. This puzzles me, as there are numerous review that discuss the use of this printer with heavier papers like the Ilford Gold Fibre Silk and Prestige Smooth Pearl (both 310 gsm).
My best guess is that the 255 is related to paper weights available in the Epson range. So my question is, should I be worried about exceeding the paper weight limit in my choice of papers? Would it affect warranty or be likely to cause internal damage?
For now I will stick to Ilford's Gold Mono Silck for my black and whites. Any suggestions for good B&W paper meeting the 255 gsm mark would be welcome as well.
