Re: Is the NEX-5T the last NEX camera?

From what i've seen from sony is that they are trying to cover all prospective buyers:

From "recently" released ILC:

  • 3N: covers high end compacts
  • 5t and 6 covers rangefinder style
  • a3000: covers DSLR style

Now, as of new models, we only need to wait and see, but it makes a lot of sense for sony to cover all form factors on its ILC.

And i know a lot of guys won't like this. but if they do release a high end "a7000" or whatever, with good PDAF, they can kill a-mount and just do what olympus did to their 4/3 lenses.

i don't think that NEX (we can call them rangefinder style e-mounts from now on) will die. there is a market for them (albeit not a big one as they probably originally thought.
