Now seriously: I have "to NX body" adapters for Pentax, T-mount, m-42, Minolta, Konica and God knows what else and all of them work with my NX1000 flawlessly ( might have to give some extra twist back and forth on PK-NX but it's not big deal - Pentax has been known to be a stubborn and awkward gear anyway). Never tried Nikon or Canon adapters, though ...

That's good choice too, especially with Pentax-NX lens adapter. Pentax make quite many very good IQ lens in the past. Another good point was they still in the business, so getting genuine lens part and service should be easy.

You can also buy into Sigma/Tamron/Tokina lenses with Pentax mount to be use with Pentax-NX lens adapter.

Sorry atarget, I did not speak to the true of my heart on my last reply to you.

Actually if you haven't start buying into any other camera brand lenses, my best advice to you was to buy into Nikon lens system.

The reason is. As of today Nikon still producing lenses with aperture ring. Even if you buy into has those G lenses, they still come with aperture control level which you can use a lens adapter with aperture control ring to access Nikon G lens aperture control.

Another reason was, due to larger market stake, there are more used Nikon lenses then other brands (maybe Canon has more as they're no.1 camera maker?).

Lastly, Nikon has the widest compatibility range between their old & new camera bodies, old & new lenses. That mean Nikon camera bodies and lenses are more plug & play even if it was make in 1960's.

Kenny, wife has Nikon Coolpix L26  P&S and it's all she needs  for photography

I'm open to Nikon manual glass, too and I'm pretty sure I will start buying it soon  together with NX adapter. I don't rule out Canon craze, either

But as of today I'm  truly fascinated with Minolta's   SRT-101    fully mechanical body ( I acquired two immaculate copies of it and will keep them as a legacy for my grandchildren) and system's Rokkor series of  lenses.
