Indeed, soft and "strange" looking. If memory serves, it was soft like motion blur. Could be used as an art filter I guess.

Yes, motion blur. I wished I'd known about this before I bought the adapter. Hoever it was fine with my 12-60 and 50-200 on arecent holiday in the norwegian fjords.
