In all seriousness, after 10 months of almost daily use I have zero spots on my fixed lens prime lens camera sensor. But if a fixed lens prime is not your thing, practice sensor cleaning because the D600 can produce awesome images.

After 7 months of regular but not daily use, I have zero spots that I can see on my D300....have not even cleaned with the blower yet.....not needed to.

I got it with under 8000 shots already on the count.

I change lenses at  will, no special precautions re dust other than commonsense re trying not to drop the equipment when changing. I change lenses in the open air also and our climate is dusty.

So, it does not have to be a fixed prime camera, to avoid spots. And if they come, I will clean them.
