Workflow with Lightroom5 and DxO Optics Pro8

You should change your workflow to something similar to the following.

1) Import images into Lightroom as RAW. DNG does nothing but tie you to Adobe software from that point on.

2) Use DxO to process the raw and do what you want to do with it. Export the processed file as TIF or DNG from DxO. Add the DNG or TIF back into Lightroom and stack with original raw file, process with Lightroom as needed.

If you bring a DNG back in from DxO, make sure you turn off camera calibration and lens correction in lightroom or you will be doubling things up.

Personally I just process the raw and do lens correction in DxO, I find lightroom faster after that for all other developing needs.
