Re: Sling bag

I've been using a Lowe Pro AW100 for a few years and been pretty happy with it.  However, lately I've been carrying a tripod more and more, and it just doesn't cut it for that.  First, the mechanism for attaching a tripod is almost useless.  Second, the sling style is too heavy with the tripod attached.

I have been hunting around for a backpack for the last month or so and haven't found the right combination yet.  One thing I really want is built-in hydration, which is available but definitely limits my selection.  My wish-list:

- A57 w/ lens

- couple extra lenses

- tripod mechanism of some sort

- relatively easy access to camera and lenses, with the tripod attached

- hydration pouch and tube port

- accessory storage

I have found a few candidates, but need to look at them in store before I can make a decision.

I will keep my sling bag as it is still very useful for smaller excursions or times when I don't take my tripod.
