Why you have to increase the sharpness to match the old model?

Why you have to increase the sharpness to match the old model's sharpness. Does it increase noise? I don't know.

How about people who don't read here and are left with photos which are less sharp?

Is there anyone with both cameras that can take the same picture and answer the question and close this chapter? The official mark2 review here changed their test patterns and even tough they know people here are waiting for an answer they did not take some test shots with an old mark1.

I knew the answer 4 months ago when I was looking for a new Sony camera. I saw a side by side review of the same picture from another site. The explanation then was: early non-production mark2. Yea right.

I got a NEX6 instead and I am very happy.
