Where or how did you get this idea? Name me one Canon lens that produces an image exactly as you see it.

You mention gullwing pattern DISTORTION but this thread is about focus field curvature.

Distortion is easily corrected, there is no correction for focus field curvature.

'exactly as you see it' makes no sense whatsoever. Distortion is a deviation from a rectilinear projection, not a deviation from the view of a the human eye.

Plenty of Canon lenses have a much flatter focus field than the 24-70mm f/2.8 II, even the cheap 40mm pancake does.
