If other, please specify thanks.

My first DSLR was a Nikon D50. I needed a camera specifically for taking pictures of church events, which were often in dim lighting and without a reasonably low ceiling for bounceflash. At the time it came out, DPR said, "The D50 has the lowest noise levels of any of the affordable digital SLR's we've tested."  A related reason is that I had a friend who could let me use a Nikon-mount 35mm f/1.4 lens with it.  This was a great combination, and I gave the camera to the church for the next "church historian" to use.

Since then, I've had Olympus, Samsung, and Sigma DSLR's.  The Samsung is my favorite and currently my most-used camera.
