Regarding the E-620 ...
1

I know that there are quite a few E-620 users and enthusiasts in this forum, and it's pretty obvious that they're very happy with their camera.

My own experience with the E-620 had me returning it less than a week. I thought the images were quite soft and lacking important detail compared to my other Oly bodies (as well as my Canon cameras). The softness seemed to go beyond a softness induced by a strong AA filter. The images were ... well, how else to put it: really, really soft and lacking any crispness.

In every other respect, I liked the E-620. Its size, shape, features, pixel count, etc. made it an ideal travel camera for me.

But oh that softness. I can't help but wonder what might account for my experience being so dramatically different than the experiences of so many E-620 users here?
