Well good question, but the grips of the NEX-7 and SL1 aren't that much different. The use of the Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 helps as most of the grip and balance is with the lens and the body pretty much follows along.

I can't tell you how pleased I am with this combination. I have been shooting around NYC for the last month and the images are great. Lastly, well probably not, but what I am really liking is the straightforward access to all my shooting controls. The Sony was a complicated mess of dials and configurations. I was finally able to configure somewhat to my needs but the interface is way more confusing then it needs to be.

With the Canon everything I need to adjust is available on one touch screen. I am really excited about photography again....
