Re: Will Sony still be developing new Alpha mount cameras a year from now?

I was basing my assessment of low-light performance on the DPReivew tests of the SLT cameras. particularly the A77, which is the one I would want. I have never shot one, so I don't have any pics for comparison.

One thing I would say, though, to me shooting at ISO 800, 2.8, and 1/640 doesn't seem like 'low light' to me. At 800 I think most any camera with a decent-sized sensor could nail that.

I guess in all fairness I should rent an A77 and try it, but really I am pretty happy with what I have now, and am willing to wait to see if they make a mirrorless version at some point. I don't even need the AF speed of the current cameras. I wold have even been willing to wait for lenses I want to show up in the NEX system, but it seems that is not what Sony has planned for the E-mount system.

You probably are a better judge of EVF for motion than I am. My camera would suck for that, but it does not have the best EVF, with slow refresh rate and lower resolution. I hate OVFs, but they are instant and continuous, so seem better to me for tracking.
