Fully agree (about camera): new one after 5 years.

OK, I have not exactly lived up to this in the past, upgrading more like every 4 years than every 5 years, but replacing a camera earlier makes little sense as improvements are small and incremental.

Lenses can be another thing. Since I got my E-M5 I've been waiting for a sharp fast zoom lens and it looks like finally one is coming with the 12-40. On my previous camera, the Canon 450D, I had the magnificent 17-55 IS f/2.8 and there was nothing like it for the E-M5, but the 12-40 looks like it will not only match but even surpass that lens. The m43 lens collection is still being significantly expanded. The cameras simply get a little bit better with every generation, so I'll wait another 4 years or so.
