My shots with the Olympus OM-D EM-1; It's a rather fab camera!

Re: Test Video with the Olympus OM-D EM-1

I managed to shoot a few very fast clips.

They were absolutely fine. However, the camera at present only does 30p; I would really need 25p and the US 24p. This is crucial for me. Thankfully, the camera has a built in mic jack, so that's good news.

I didn't get a chance to explore the video options with any more depth, so sadly can't answer your question at the moment. To be honest, I didn't even spot the video mode on the control dial until I saw a photograph earlier! It was that busy a day!

I'm hoping to test the camera thoroughly soon, so watch this space and my blog.

As fas as the GH3, as a video tool it is impressive. As a photo tool, I would definitely pick the E-M1. Let's also keep in mind that with firmware updates Olympus could add a lot of stuff on the video side of things!

Thank you very much for your great work.

I am mostly curious about the video capabilities of the camera. Do you have any thoughts as to how it compares with other cameras you have used? Any comments from the other photographers re. the video?

A lot of readers believe that the GH3 is superior because of the wider choice of video options. On the other hand, I would shoot virtually everything at 30p anyway. What are your thoughts on this.
