Re: A robber fly with my P7700

Hi Richard

Brad has not been on the forum for a while - I hope he's o.k. - so I am taking the liberty of answering this question myself. Both the DCR-250 and the DCR-150 have a 43mm male thread on the rear side, while the filter thread on the P7700 is 40.5mm, so all that is needed to replicate the set up shown on this thread is a step up ring 40.5 to 43mm. These are very cheap and can be found at Amazon (from £2.19), or on Ebay. The ring screws directly into the filter thread on the front of the camera lens and the Raynox then screws onto the ring. This obviates the need for the Raynox supplied pinch clip device used for larger diameter dslr lenses.

The only significant difference between the DCR-250 and 150, I believe, is the degree of magnification - the 250 is rather more powerful than the 150.

Hope this helps.
