95,000 fanatics and a football (XZ-1 panorama)
September in Melbourne is all about football finals (playoffs for our North American brethren). On Sunday I went to the Melbourne Cricket Ground with 95,000 others to see Richmond play Carlton in a cut-throat elimination game. The more fancied Richmond lost, but as an impartial observer, I just enjoyed the game. My team, Geelong, lost on Saturday but get another chance to keep the dream alive on Friday night. This is a nine shot XZ-1 panorama stitched in CS6. It was shot at half-time when the entertainment is provided by youngsters living the dream by treading the sacred turf. The second shot is from a night match at the same venue shot the night before. Please excuse the fact that it was shot with a DSLR - at least it was an Oly.
