To the OP:  To quote a sage, "size is everything."  Unless you are shooting wildlife or sports, or want to make 16x20 prints, I would suggest that you purchase an m4/3 system.  I spent 10 days in Paris this spring with Olympus EPL-1 body, 3 primes, 3 zooms, a small Olympus flash, filters, etc. all in a 10-inch high Olympus 'mini-backpack.'  This compared with my having lugged 2 Nikon bodies, 3 zooms, and a prime (no flash) 10 years previously, when I was lucky not to have collapsed under the weight.  And I was 10 years younger!
