It's a "Bug Lens"

The more experience you gain shooting macro, the more you learn about the habits and quirks of your subjects, the more you'll realize that there's really no such thing as a "bug lens" -it's the critter that decides if you're going to get close, and not the working distance of your lens.

Then the more you learn about using a flash, how macro is really another form of flash based stop motion photography, and how diffusion gets better the closer you get your flash the the subject then you start to realize that short focal length lenses are actually better "bug lenses" that long glass. You don't need the extra working distance -in fact it works against you...

Always minimal post processing and no cropping -unless you count the viewfinder...
