I'd reiterate others' praise of the photo!

What is the background? I've been managing to get some okay images of Odes, but the background is always hit or miss, depending on where they decide to land and hang out.

Sometimes, the overall effect of the background lines, shapes, colors, and out-of-foucusness works; most of the time it isn't optimum.

Some solve this problem by shooting with flash and dialing down the influence of the ambient light, but it doesn't appear you've done that here.

The background is just some dry swamp grass, I was surprised with the color, there still was a lot of green in the area.

The background wasn't very far away and that is another reason to add the teleconverter to the 200mm macro lens, the narrow angle of view smooths the backgrounds nicely.

Thanks.
