I do have a birding tips book by Pete Dunne with the title, "Good Birders Don't Wear White". Just a thought.

Yeah, "Good Birders Don't Wear White", but the same is true for "Silver" too. Wildlife reacts to all bright colors, generally. I'm using camouflage tape on my G1, because I have seen too many birds freaking out by seeing that big and bright thingy .

G1 has a really high resolution, great optic and nice image quality wide open. That counts most, and it's not too slow for normal wildlife either, unless they are moving really fast. but on the other hand, a faster AF is always a welcome addition, no matter what you are shooting, so G2 is a good alternative too for s little extra, assuming they have the same IQ.

Withe or Silver doesn't matter, because none of them is a good color for wildlife.
