Yongnuo YN568EXII owners - help with wrong TTL behavior!!!
I just bought a YN568EXII but I noticed that the on-camera TTL is defective.
The problem is shown in the two videos below and I explain here. ON-camera TTL does not work properly and results in very dark images when I bounce the flash to the ceiling. This is much more noticeable for higher focal distances (say, more than 100mm). The images obtained with the flash pointing up are VERY underexposed (2-3 stops darker). TTL was supposed to send a pre-flash, and adjust the flash power automatically for a good exposure. But it is not doing it well.
In this other video I compare to my other YN468II which TTL works great.
Now, I compare on-camera vs. off-camera TTL which worked well too. Just the on-camera TTL gives dark images.
These videos prove that my unit is defective, right? But is this a problem just in my unit or is this a problem in all YN568EXII's ????
Please, if you have this model, would you please, try to repeat the test and tell me. Put in P mode and TLL mode, then use a lens higher than 100mm and take a picture with the flash pointing to the front and then again to the ceiling. Both images should have more or less the same brightness, right?
