Bromeliad in the wild with PENTACON 50mmf1.8

Yesterday late afternoon I returned (with a tripod) to the place where that beautiful bromeliad is growing to get more pics. (just out of curiosity, 12 years ago I discovered a ~110mi years old cretaceous fossil supposed being the first bromeliad and was named Protananas lucenae - in American Journal of Botany).

Here is a photo I took with an old M42 Pentacon 50mm f1.8 as I was curious to see how that lens would perform with the 20mp NX1000 sensor and amazed how well the lens rendered that full of fine details subject (see original for better looking). For those that are interested in an cheap legacy lens can not go wrong with the pentacon 50mm. Also it can focus very close and has a nice and smooth focusing, good for video (my next task).
