Interesting. How does the clearviewer help in sunshine? There doesn't seem to be any element isolating the screen from sun rays... does it really matter if you put another lens in front of it?

The Clearviewer magnifies the image of the LCD, and I can see all of the display for composition, as well as settings being used. I use a hat with a good sized brim to block sunlight coming from above, or from the sides. Not sure what you mean by "...does it really matter if you put another lens in front of it?" I'm guessing you mean does it matter that much to put the Clearviewer lens in front of the LCD? My answer is yes, it makes a big difference.

I purchased the optional EVF for the NX100 several months after I got the Clearviewer. There was a super deal for $60 from Korea at the time, so the Clearviewer is used less on the NX100 now. However, the Clearviewer gives me a much larger EVF to work with, so it still is pleasant to use.

I also have one for my Canon G9 that already has an optical viewfinder, but it does not show 100%, and does not display any shooting information. It's good in a pinch, but I much prefer to use the Clearviewer with it. It makes a huge difference to me when using the G9, so I use the G9 more often, and I use the Clearviewer with it whenever I'm outside in sunlight.

Both Clearviewers I own are tripod mount type, so I leave my hot shoe available for use.
