I love the old Canon lenses

I have been disappointed with my Canon FD 50 f1.8 & FD 70-210 f4 zoom on my OM-D - both totally blown away IQ wise by the Oly 45mm and the Oly 40-150. I suppose I was expecting more from the old boys. OK - I know I'm not comparing with Leica/Zeiss but I was surprised.

Which of your old lenses do surpass your expectations?

In what way are you "disappointed"? I own 8 Canon FD lenses, and they all work perfectly on m4/3.

The whole "designed for a different medium" argument is simply not relevant most of the time, except in extreme wide angle rangefinder lenses. This is a 63 year old lens on the "old" GX1:

Please click on it to view at full size. I did no adjustments to the jpeg. The lens is as sharp and contrasty as anything out there.
